Proverbs 12:20 tells us, “Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but those who plan peace have joy.”
Lord, we come before You today, full of hope and a heavy heart. We see the weariness that comes from years of conflict, and we ask for Your peace to sweep over these nations. The gulf between them has been wide, but we pray for bridges to be built. Heal the wounds of war, and comfort those who have been displaced. Give wisdom to those in power, guiding their hearts and minds towards understanding and resolution. Help them to be builders of peace. We believe in the promise of restoration and reconciliation as Your children. May Your light shine in the darkest places, bringing hope to the hopeless. In Jesus’ name, amen.
