Tensions have simmered for years between the U.S. and Iran, leading to military operations that have disrupted lives and communities. Recently, an announcement from Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif revealed a framework deal aimed at ending this conflict. The deal includes an immediate halt to military actions, particularly in Lebanon, and plans to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for oil shipments. It also extends a ceasefire for an additional 60 days for final negotiations. This news carries hope for peace and stability in a troubled region. BBC News

In Proverbs 12:20, we read, “There is deceit in the heart of those who plot evil, but there is joy for those who promote peace.”

Lord, we come to You tonight with raw hearts and heavy spirits. We lift up the communities caught in the crossfire of this conflict. The pain and uncertainty are real, and we need You in this moment. Bring comfort to those who have suffered and fill their hearts with hope. We ask for wisdom for the leaders involved in these negotiations. Let their hearts seek peace over power. Help them to see that true strength lies in unity and understanding, not in force. We pray for a lasting peace that will protect families and restore trust. May Your spirit of reconciliation guide each step.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
